Air Quality Engineering (AQE)

Air Quality Engineering (AQE) started off in 1973 as Smokemaster Inc, emphasizing design, development and sales of air cleaners for the removal of tobacco smoke.

In 1974 the business was approached by Honeywell in Minneapolis, USA to produce commercial air cleaners and become a major manufacturer of the company. Soon the company was offering turnkey industrial air cleaner design and production services to Honeywell.

In 1983 Air Quality Engineering became a significant competitor in the industrial air cleaner market with the acquisition of Honeywell’s line of industrial air cleaners. It was at this time that Smokemaster became Air Quality Engineering (AQE) to reflect a new and broader product line.

Brand names currently offered by AQE includes:

1. Smokemaster line for tobacco smoke removal
2. Miracle Air for comprehensive Indoor Air Quality
3. MistBuster line for machine tool coolant mist
4. Air Quality Engineering line of Industrial air cleaners such as Fumefighter and PartaAir.

Filtration technologies offered by AQE include:

1. Electrostatic air cleaning
2. Conventional bag and/or cartridge filtration
3. HEPA filtration
4. Carbon sorbent media
